Catch 22

The election was still months away but it was going to take a lot more than a busking motorcycle reciting original rhyming verse  to get our Katei Cranford elected to the Greensboro City Council and get the short grey aliens pushed out. Something told me they'd not be as easy to dispose of as the Tall White Aliens had been as the Greys have connections at the Federal level and have been known to abduct people who get in their way.

It was reassuring to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that council members Nancy Vaughan, Marikay Abuzuaiter and Tony Wilkins were all real humans. If we could get Katei and just one more known human elected to council we could expose the aliens and wrest control of Greensboro from the aliens before they were able to infiltrate nearby cities like Burlington. That is: if they hadn't already done so by cloning the existing Burlington City Council. You see, the Greys are themselves an entirely cloned race and have been known to clone humans when it suits their evil desires.

We were happy to discover that the Burlington system of streaming traffic cameras would allow us to monitor traffic should the aliens come from Greensboro to Burlington to attack us. As soon as he found out Donny set about hooking up several monitors throughout the office and shop areas so that we could always be informed. We secretly hooked into the Greensboro traffic cameras just to give us a little more lead time. And just because we could we hacked into a camera located in one of the Grey Alien's offices. This camera was no doubt used by the Greys to watch the Tall Whites but a few more eyes couldn't hurt. No more would Katei sneak in on her skate board without being seen well in advance.

And the Stench thought he was wired over there in Greensboro's Irving Park. Hey, this is Burlington, where the electrical inspectors not only let you wire it yourself, the inspectors come over and help you wire it up right. Try that in Greensboro!

Still, that wasn't going to be enough. It was going to take a lot more than camera tricks and a busking motorcycle to get Katei elected to Greensboro City Council and defeat the Grey Aliens. As tiny as they were the Greys were among the most powerful of all alien species. I'm told even the Tall Whites and the Reptilian Aliens feared them. Not that I've ever met any Reptilian Aliens but having met my share of Tall Whites and Greys I can believe it to be true. It's said the Greys were actually the result of a cloning experiment conducted by the Reptilians that took a horrible turn and created a race bent on destroying all others no matter the consequences.

I was contemplating removing the logos from the Wackemall Inc. corporate jet and selling it off in our ebay store to raise money for Katei's campaign but being that we'd never really completed the store I was concerned everyone would think it a hoax. I also had concerns as to how that might effect share prices which were currently up to .08 cents per share. I thought it best I call our legal team, Burnup and Singed Attorneys At Law and run the whole thing past them just in case there was anything I might be missing.

I thought Donny was getting ready to ride his bike home for the day. As he rode out the door I shouted, "Donny, you forgot your helmet, Dude."

"I'll get it," Wooley said.

"Just toss it to me," Donny shouted.

Wooley tossed the helmet but about 5 feet before it got to the motorcycle it bounced backwards as if it had hit a wall. "No way," Wooley said, "you didn't really..."

"Way, Dude," Donny laughed. "Walk over here and try and touch me or the bike."

"Will it hurt me?" Wooley asked.

"Not if you do it slowly," Donny replied. "It repels with the exact same amount of force you hit it with."

Donny rode his bike out into the grass where we spent the next two hours trying to find a hole in his invisible shield. We even went so far as to dig under the motorcycle but the best we could do was to dig a hole for Donny and his invisibly shielded motorcycle to gently sink into. Then after all that work, Donny pulled a spent .22 round from his pocket and tossed it through the shield to me saying, "Catch! it only works one way."

Dumbfounded, I caught the empty shell casing in my hand. Even the aliens weren't known to have this kind of technology.
